Well, I am an iPhone user, and I just love my excellent little gear. It has lighted up my boring life, and I simply can't take my hands off it. After using it for months, I've spotted there are such a lot of wonderful features integrated into this little thing. So I spent hours browsing the web to learn useful tricks that will help me make the most out of my iPhone. So far I have found many inventive sites and useful tricks and tips.
Here I would like to share a few tips and tricks that I use frequently.
1. Make a call from Safari
You can dial a telephone number in Safari if you like. Just tap on the number and the iPhone will dial it for you.
2. Play Music Tracks Quicker or Slower
Go to Settings, choose iPod, then tap on the Audiobook Speed, choose Slower, Standard or Quicker. You can change the music tempo in 3 styles.
3. Set Parental Controls
If you don't desire some information or functions being viewed by your children on your iPhone, you can block it. Go to Settings, select General, and tap Limitations.
4. IPod icon can be changed
Previously, I was under the impression that the iPod icon is set by default and cannot be modified when required. Later on I come to the daybreak that it can be changed. Go to iPod, tap Configure, then Select More, tap Edit and hold on the icon you like to replace the older one. Tap on Done when you're finished.
5. Use iPhone abroad

We all know the feeling of being in a new or unfamiliar city, just looking for something good to eat and all we can find is a dodgy looking McDonalds. I had it recently, walking around Nottingham’s streets trying to find a decent Chinese or Indian takeaway.
But if you’re an iPhone owner, then you don’t have to worry about this problem. A quick look on the App Store will reveal a huge number of apps geared towards finding restaurants in your vicinity, using the iPhones’ GPS to locate you.
The Around Me app is an excellent example, and allows you to find banks, restaurants, hotels, supermarkets (basically anything you might need) and then provides you with user reviews, directions and a wealth of other information on your chosen listing.
If you don’t fancy downloading an app, but you have an iPhone 3G, you can get online while out and about and go a Google search for what you’re after. For example whilst out and about, I did a quick search for ‘Chinese takeaway Nottingham‘ & ‘Indian Takeaway Nottingham‘ using the iPhones’ built-in web browser (Safari). The results were returned quickly, and i found some incredibly useful recommendations for (and directions to) decent local eateries.
If you can’t get your phone online, you could of course always try a local enquiry line, who should be able to give you suitable recommendations. For example, i called one of these lines and asked for decent Nottingham takeaways and was immediately given the number of one that the operator recommended, as they lived in Nottingham themselves.
So you can always use your phone to find a good restaurant or takeaway one way or another, and this is just one of a thousand reasons why it’s a good idea to get yourself a smartphone.

The new Iphone 3G allows you to download and browse the web quicker and easier than before, the new features have been well thought out and unlike some updated devices where the new features are just gimmicks Apple have thought out these new features to give us a truly superb experience and a remarkable phone
Ok so what are these amazing features, well Apple have really gone to town this time, you can copy images and text directly from the web, into other applications. Text and images can also be copied between apps on the Iphone itself. If you want to undo anything there’s no need to do a control-z as you would in Excel no simply shake the phone, ok im a geek but thats pretty damm cool. In terms of writing, punctuation is a breeze as the iphone punctuates automatically, the phone predicts words as you type making it quicker and easier than ever before. Another neat feature is the ability to turn the phone horizontally and type as if you were using a standard PC keyboard, Apple has thought this through making the Iphone more comfortable than ever before when using it. Want to write in a different language , well thats no problem either as you can chose from 40 international languages to type in, there’s a key to toggle between numerical , alphabetic and symbol keyboards and the QWERTY keyboard appears when you need it and disappears when you dont freeing up valuable screen space for other things.
The Iphone excels when you connect to the Web, rather than a mobile web browser, the Iphone offers a much better experience as safari is preloaded, giving you PC like browsing experience. Safari will use WI-Fi, 3H or edge and automtaically use the fastest connection. Sites can be bookmarked, icons can be made to represent the home pages of sites you use most often and you can easily zoom in and out with the touch of a key. Internet tethering as another useful feature, connect your PC to your phone either by USB or bluetooth to give your PC an Internet connection, once connected you can still use your Iphone as normal , neat !
Multimedia messages are easy to send and you can record audio directly onto the phone, the audio levels can be monitored to prevent distortion and triming the audio is a breeze. Once you ready then voice messages can be sent by email or MMS. Messages are displayed in a similar way to a blackberry almost like a chat format. If the message contains a phone number or web address just tap the phone to make the call or connect to the web.
The messaging is great it displays them in a chat format. They give a comic strip sort of look and not the standard look of viewing only one message at a time. In case you receive a phone number in the message then just tap on it to make the call.
To Summarize Apple has kept all the features you would expect, ease of use, ringtones, Internet browsing and added some nice neat features, this device is worth every penny.
