While the front facing camera for video conferencing is only 1.3MP, the rear camera is 8MP. The rear camera also supports 1080p video capture. It supports the 4G network for fast downloading. Watching YouTube videos and playing great games will not be an issue with the G2x. The G2x runs the vanilla version of android, but it is the dated 2.2 version. The phone, like many Android predecessors, comes with many pre-installed software that you can’t delete because Android is so horrible. Third party apps are also pre-installed on the phone, but you can still use apps that you would rather use.

The T-mobile G2x accessories are customized to fit its design and shape. There are plenty of custom accessories that will be available for the T-mobile G2x including headsets, adapters, cables, chargers, etc. T-mobile has gone through extended lengths to make sure the accessories for the G2x is customized its shape and contour. If you own an LG Optimus 2X, you might have accessories to fit it already. While there are many accessories that are available for the G2x, there are two that you should invest in.

Any smart phone owners know the significance of screen protectors. The T-Mobile G2x screen protector is customized to fit its needs. Online, you can buy two packs of screen protectors for $12.99. They are designed for anti smear. They are easy to apply and they do not interfere with the touch screen capabilities. This is not exactly a substitute for quality insurance, but it will help tremendously to keep your phone from being damaged in very sensitive areas.

There are different designs of the T-mobile G2x case made to fit the new design. They style of case that you decide on is all preference. There is the Cellet noble vertical belt clip, the Cellet omega horizontal belt clip, the Dickies tool bag horizontal carrying case, and more. There are a few other styles of cases, but these are the bulk of what you would normally find. You can find a lot of cases at retail stores, but you’ll usually find better deals online.

This phone is shaping up to be a great smart phone. If you missed out on the LG Optimus 2X, this is your chance to take advantage of its brother. With a pending takeover from AT&T, who is known for their not so friendly androids, it is unsure of how things will play out. Even though the G2x will be launched running off of the 2.2 version of android, T-mobile is promising a speedy upgrade to the gingerbread 2.3 version soon after the release.

AT&T has the latest Samsung smartphone now available, which is called the Samsung i897 Captivate. Samsung’s i897 model is known as the Captivate, but it will also be known in the AT&T stores as the Galaxy S. You are not limited to only using this phone with AT&T and can get an unlock code for the Samsung i897 that can be used with other providers.

The Samsung i897 Captivate is one of the biggest contender in knocking iPhones off their no.1 smart phone perch. The unit features four navigational buttons beneath the sizable touch screen. A built-in 3G network supports web surfing on this smartphone, utilizing the Android 2.1 operating system from Google.

The Samsung i897 also features a GPS function and supports connections via Bluetooth like many of the newer phones on the market. It has a great 5MP camera. You can record video with the camera, it also offers many features often found on stand alone cameras, such as autofocus. However, the Samsung i897 did not include a flash with the camera.

The build quality of the Samsung i897 Captivate is wonderful. In addition to the resilient case, the back of the phone is textured, which helps the user maintain an effective grip and creates a nice design. It can take a pounding thanks to the great build quality, even dropping the phone is unlikely to cause any problems.

One of the main issues with the Samsung i897 Captivate however is the fact you only have access to Android applications. Because of this, any third-party apps are blocked, which is a complaint that is commonly seen about all phones that use the Android operating system, something that will hopefully be changed in the future.

The fact that the Samsung i897 Captivate is only available through AT&T is also a concern. However, there are methods to overcome this situation if you do not subscribe to AT&T’s service. Your can get an unlock code after you purchase the Samsung i897. Contact your current cell phone provider and ask for a free “unlock code” that can be used to unlock your new Samsung phone.

You will need to provide the IMEI number of your phone to get the code. Simply type this into your phone: *#06#. All you need to do then is to give this unique IMEI number to your current provider.

Some providers cannot give you free unlock codes, in which case there are still things you can do. Simply do a quick Internet search and you will receive numerous phone unlocking tutorials. Make sure that you locate the specific instructions for unlocking the Samsung i897 in order to make this process work effectively on your new phone. The Samsung i897 Captivate can be used with any cell service provider once it has been successfully unlocked.

The new iPhone 4 has new exciting features like video calling capabilities with FaceTime, HD video recording, a high res display, a 5 megapixel camera, and several more.

People have been asking for video calling capabilities for a long time, and the iPhone 4 and FaceTime actually allow this to happen. There are two cameras on the iPhone 4: the back camera which is standard for taking pictures, and the front camera which will show your face. FaceTime will allow you to switch back and forth between them during the call you are making with the simple press of a button on the phone.

The new retina display that comes on the iPhone 4 is an incredibly sharp and vibrant screen that has four times the pixel count of any previous iPhone. Indeed, the density of the pixels is so elevated that humans cannot discern individual pixels, resulting in astoundingly sharp text and images.

Through the iPhone 4′s features, users will experience an entirely new mode of multitasking capability. The third party apps that you know and love and all be run instantaneously without any slowdown or battery drainage, given the new technology inherent in the iPhone 4. Such smooth multitasking capability is only found on the iPhone.

Make high definition video on your own. Shoot astoundingly high quality videos even in poorly lit conditions, due to the iPhone’s backside illumination sensor and integrated LED function. From there you can make edits and produce your best work directly on the iPhone 4 by using the iMovie application which includes Apple-created themes, transitions and title selections.

The camera on the phone will enable beautiful photos courtesy of the 5 megapixel camera that has a built-in LED flash. You can use the front facing camera to take pictures of yourself and as already mentioned thanks to the backside illumination sensor even low light conditions need not stand in your way.
