What Makes The Motorola Droid Pro A Desirable Phone

With a power-efficient 1.3 GHz processor under the hood, the Droid Pro is obviously going to be one of the most desirable smart phones on the market. The LTE Mi-Fi capability, HTML support, and Android 2.2 OS are also factors that argue heavily in favor of the purchase of a new Droid Pro yet they are not necessarily the most dominant reason to buy. What is the most important reason to buy a new Droid Pro? It could arguably be the fact that there are a plethora of Motorola Droid Pro accessories on the drawing boards and even more on the market. In other words, the Droid Pro was made to be customized.

The sheer number of existing and expected Motorola Droid Pro accessories is truly impressive, including a wide range of cases, batteries, and screen protectors. Many of the Motorola Droid Pro accessories are targeted at making each Motorola Droid Pro visually distinct because that is what matters to a large cross-section of the smartphone audience. Most smart phone consumers know that each smart phone only has a limited window of time in which it can remain the dominant smartphone and after that it is only the accessories that keep the smartphone fresh in the eye of the public. Some smartphones have lasted a very long time with the right assortment of accessories, and the Droid Pro by Motorola looks like it will certainly be one of those smartphones.

Motorola Droid Pro accessories come in many different types and styles, including generic Bluetooth devices, cases, batteries and screen protectors. Motorola Droid Pro batteries come in both stock and high capacity varieties in order to offer consumers more choices. These customers need those much needed extra talk time or surfing time, so they purchase Motorola Droid Pro batteries or multiple batteries to ensure that they are never without enough power to talk or browse. There are also high tech lightweight Motorola Droid Pro batteries for those who are trying to keep an already heavy bag or briefcase as light as possible.

Motorola Droid Pro screen protectors also come in many styles, but it is wise to steer clear of all but the highest quality screen protectors for one simple reason: the beautiful 4″ screen. While the Droid Pro’s screen is certainly worth taking good care of regardless of how much money one has to spend, the truth is that the lower quality Motorola Droid Pro screen protectors are not nearly as good at doing their job while being non-intrusive visually. Add to this the fact that the price difference between high quality screen protectors for the Motorola Droid Pro and low-quality models is fairly small, and it does not really make sense to skimp on the screen protector.

For the Motorola Droid Pro, there are literally a ton of accessory combinations, and more are possible every day as new accessories are released. With such a wide variety of existing options, it is hard to imagine anyone not finding the right balance of utility and personalization in their Motorola Droid Pro

The HTC Desire

The HTC Desire is a powerhouse of a smartphone, running off a 1GHz Snapdragon processor and a massive 576MB of RAM. The results speak for themselves, with consistently fast load times and a very responsive interface. Importantly, the HTC Desire also makes the grade as an actual mobile phone, something which, oddly, some people forget to consider when buying a smartphone these days. Calls sound clear in a variety of situations, and messaging is easy as a result of the great on-screen keyboard. The HTC Desire’s user interface offers a mixture of usability and style that sets it apart from the competition. It features seven customizable homescreens, to which you can apply a wide range of widgets and shortcuts. Out of the box, you will find a good selection of apps and web shortcuts to play with, representing the corporations behind the release, and any service or tool not on the phone when you receive can be found on the Android Market to download. All of the media features on the HTC Desire are better than average, but a couple could have done with being a little bit better. The camera is a 5 megapixel one, but the quality of the pictures it takes is not as good as similar priced smartphones, and the media player, whilst working fine, does not support as many different types of files as the ones used by competitors. On the plus side, browsing the web is a really nice experience. The screen is clear and crisp, pages render correctly and load quickly, and scrolling through long pages is smooth and fluid. HTC has made sure the Desire is as good for business as it is for fun, and has extended its normal support for Microsoft Exchange email to include the ability to search a corporate database for contacts – a feature rarely seen on any other smartphone. Quickoffice is installed for viewing and editing Microsoft Office documents, and the HTC calendar is a winner with its clean user interface and the integration of up-to-date weather forecasts into calendar entries.
