iPhone Insurance When you consider the huge leaps and bounds mobile phone technology has made in the past few years, its easy to understand

just how desirable some of the latest models have become.

The downside to this, is that they have also become desirable to thieves and muggers. Mobile phone theft is the number one

crime in the UK right now.

Because the phones have now become so sophisticated and expensive, its little wonder that mobile phone insurance is

rapidly becoming an essential purchase for the mobile phone user. Having paid out a small fortune for the latest

spectacular phone, most people could not afford to pay for a replacement if it were lost or damaged.

OK, you may have received the latest iPhone cheap with a new contract. But you will still be expected to pay for a

replacement or the rest of the contract line rental rental cost.

Not only will you be insured against the theft of your phone, but you will also be covered for any damage. Cover can also

include damage from water, fraudulent call cover (imagine having your phone stolen and the thief uses it to call premium

rate lines overseas) and if being repaired, a replacement phone whilst you are waiting.

Don’t rely upon your house contents policy to cover you. Apart from the amount of time it will take to sort out, there will almost certainly be a large excess to pay which could quite possibly be more than the cost of buying a new phone.

iPhone Insurance and the Warranty

posted by admin

iPhone Insurance iPhone insurance means amongst other things, you have some kind of come back even after and outside of your normal manufacturers warranty.

Most western legal systems give you the consumer 12 months manufacturers warranty.

That means that is it happens to go wrong within the first 12 months of purchase then you can get it replaced for free.  A minute after that 12 months is up, then the cost is all YOURS.

That is one of the reasons to get iphone insurance – admittedly not the biggest reason – but certainly one to consider.

Make sure you have extended warranty within your iphone insurance.

This means that is anything should just go wrong (rather than the iphone being stolen, lost or damaged) then you are covered.

This is why we recommend you make sure you have extended warranty within your iphone insurance

iPhone Loss? Do you need iPhone insurance?

posted by admin
Wednesday, April 8, 2009

May you never be in this position…

I *really* hope you never lose your iPhone.  It is horrible.  You suddenly realise how much you really, really like your iPhone and how much you have come to depend on it.

All your contacts, your photos, your extra iPhone apps…

In short, iPhone loss is a pain in the *****

So let’s back up a minute.  You haven’t lost your phone … yet.

The thing is, is it worth risking on the maybe chance that you wont ever lose your phone.  That is quite a chance.  But it is something only you can answer.

Risk is a very personal thing.

And that is basically all insurance is.  A tool to help you manage risk.

If you do not want to be without your iPhone – if being without it for long is just too much to bear or would be just too frustrating, then clearly you need to get iPhone insurance.

But you need to take a personal look at it.  I am not going to say “Of course you need iPhone insurance”.  Maybe you don’t.  Maybe you do.  Sure, for most people it is a whole lot easier to have iPhone insurance and they like to know they can get a quick replacement should they need to. But that is a decision that is up to you.

If you are the sort of person to put their phone in a cotton wool back and hardly ever take it out, to always know where it is and to never to go to any place that might be even vaguely risky (like a train station, car park…) then you probably wont need to get iPhone insurance.

On the other hand, if you have any kind of an active life where you are often doing active things, and where you frequently interact with people on the phone and where you go to interesting places – then you are probably going to want to seriously consider getting yourself some iPhone insurance.

The decision is yours.

Obviously we are biased but we genuinely believe the best iphone insurance policy you will find bar none is at http://www.iphoneinsurance-uk.co.uk iPhone Insurance
