Apple’s iPhone Cons

iPhone Insurance

The Apple iPhone has become one of the most popular products in recent years but there are some limitations to the iPhone.

The iPhone has a 2.75G quad-band GSM capability, its text and email services and Wi-Fi services, but it is far from perfect.iPhone does have its limitations. They keep people from using certain features and also prevent most iPhone customization. I really hope Apple will fix these problems in the near future though.

No custom ringtones

One of the biggest limitations that the iPhone has is that the product does not allow for any custom ringtones to be used.  While an iPhone will have a four, eight or sixteen gigabyte hard drive where several hundred mp3 files can be fit onto the hard drive none of these files can be used for ringtone use.  Only the ones that are available on the phone can use them.

Apple had in fact set it up that you should pay through iTunes store in order to get customized ring tones which I am really not happy about.Other solutions I found need you to fork out some cash to purchase a software for such customization. Therefore, I find that customizing the iPhone is greatly limited.

Camera on the iPhone

The camera on the iPhone is a strong one, as it has two megapixels of picture quality. While pictures can be taken for sending to people or for iPhone customization there is a significant limitation to the camera. If you check, you will find that there is no near future plan by Apple to upgrade the iPhone picture quality.

it cannot record videos on the fly. Of course, the four or eight gigabyte hard drive is a major factor in this because recording one’s one video files can take up a great amount of space on the phone.

Limited Flash support

Flash is used on many popular websites, including hot video sites like Google Video and Youtube. There is limited Flash support on the iPhone though. it is troublesome to surf on some certain sites without a problem as a result. More websites are utilizing Flash and would cause a problem to the Apple iPhone unless Apple is able to provide a quick fix in the near future.

Difficulty to write

The last of the limitations of the iPhone is that of the difficultly in writing things at times. The iPhone has a touch screen feature and it can be tough to write things on the iPhone with speed. For example, the virtual keyboard on the iPhone is tremendously useful, but users still ahve to go to another menu every time they want to enter a comma, period or other punctuation marks. While the touch screen is great and is incredibly responsive to what one enters on it this is a problem that makes it harder to write things. With the great sales that the iPhone has gotten in recent months the iPhone limits have been discovered too. However, as time goes on newer iPhone models will be available in the future, and many of these models should be able to correct the problems that are listed here.

Iphone ringtone studio for the MAC

PocketMac Iphone ringtone creator

Got an Iphone and want some new kick ass tunes, well it may have been some time since apple added the ability to create custom Iphone ringtones in Itunes, and yes whilst this is a major step forward it does have 2 limitations. First you can only create ringtones from content you have bought, which is suppose is kind of fair, second you need to pay 99 cents for each customer ringtone you make, Doesn’t sound a lot but it will soon add up read on and we can show you how to make the same ringtone quickly and easily.

Enter PocketMac’s RingtoneStudio this nifty little piece of software allows you to make your own ringtone from almost any audio or video file on your Mac’s hard drive and even better its so easy to use.The only limitation is that the files must not be DRM protected (the downside to Itunes). To create your own customer ringtone is easy simply drag and drop a song, sound or video (even quicktime compatible video) file onto the ringtone studio window, testing this functionality we managed to convert a wide array of files quickly and easily. The only limitation we found was the DRM-protected files

Once you have loaded up your tune, video or sound then PocketMac Ringtone Studio for iPhone allows you to crop the source into a much smaller file which can easily be transfered to your Iphone. The PocketMac's cropping tool allows you to grab just the right section of audio for your personal ringtone. Depending on the length of your ringtone you will get different options if the sample is less than 30 seconds long then Ringtone studio will automatically converts the whole file into and iphone ringtone and places it neatly in your Itunes ringtone collection. If the sample is longer than 30 seconds then you get the option to clip out which ever 30 second section you wnat, again once selected the ringtones will be placed in Itunes, hopefully in a later version you will be able to clip longer and shorter lengths but as limitations go it wont casuse you too many issues.

If most of the music on your Hard drive has been purchased from the Itunes store then you may not find this tool too useful, as DRM-protected songs can only be converted by Itunes (at 99c a go) . But if you have plenty of good non protected music or videos then you can easily soon create a rather impressive range of ringtones for your iphone
