Got an Iphone and want some new kick ass tunes, well it may have been some time since apple added the ability to create custom Iphone ringtones in Itunes, and yes whilst this is a major step forward it does have 2 limitations. First you can only create ringtones from content you have bought, which is suppose is kind of fair, second you need to pay 99 cents for each customer ringtone you make, Doesn’t sound a lot but it will soon add up read on and we can show you how to make the same ringtone quickly and easily.
Enter PocketMac’s RingtoneStudio this nifty little piece of software allows you to make your own ringtone from almost any audio or video file on your Mac’s hard drive and even better its so easy to use.The only limitation is that the files must not be DRM protected (the downside to Itunes). To create your own customer ringtone is easy simply drag and drop a song, sound or video (even quicktime compatible video) file onto the ringtone studio window, testing this functionality we managed to convert a wide array of files quickly and easily. The only limitation we found was the DRM-protected files
Once you have loaded up your tune, video or sound then PocketMac Ringtone Studio for iPhone allows you to crop the source into a much smaller file which can easily be transfered to your Iphone. The PocketMac's cropping tool allows you to grab just the right section of audio for your personal ringtone. Depending on the length of your ringtone you will get different options if the sample is less than 30 seconds long then Ringtone studio will automatically converts the whole file into and iphone ringtone and places it neatly in your Itunes ringtone collection. If the sample is longer than 30 seconds then you get the option to clip out which ever 30 second section you wnat, again once selected the ringtones will be placed in Itunes, hopefully in a later version you will be able to clip longer and shorter lengths but as limitations go it wont casuse you too many issues.
If most of the music on your Hard drive has been purchased from the Itunes store then you may not find this tool too useful, as DRM-protected songs can only be converted by Itunes (at 99c a go) . But if you have plenty of good non protected music or videos then you can easily soon create a rather impressive range of ringtones for your iphone

just how desirable some of the latest models have become.
The downside to this, is that they have also become desirable to thieves and muggers. Mobile phone theft is the number one
crime in the UK right now.
Because the phones have now become so sophisticated and expensive, its little wonder that mobile phone insurance is
rapidly becoming an essential purchase for the mobile phone user. Having paid out a small fortune for the latest
spectacular phone, most people could not afford to pay for a replacement if it were lost or damaged.
OK, you may have received the latest iPhone cheap with a new contract. But you will still be expected to pay for a
replacement or the rest of the contract line rental rental cost.
Not only will you be insured against the theft of your phone, but you will also be covered for any damage. Cover can also
include damage from water, fraudulent call cover (imagine having your phone stolen and the thief uses it to call premium
rate lines overseas) and if being repaired, a replacement phone whilst you are waiting.
Don’t rely upon your house contents policy to cover you. Apart from the amount of time it will take to sort out, there will almost certainly be a large excess to pay which could quite possibly be more than the cost of buying a new phone.

iPhone Insurance Do you remember the good old days of mobile phones? I certainly do. I was one of the first to own a mobile phone (if indeed “mobile” is the correct word for them). My first phone consisted of what was virtually an old telephone handset strapped on top of a couple of house bricks.
My first phone was absolutely cram packed with the latest technology. You could make calls with it and…….. well, that was it really. Nowadays, mobile phones are so sophisticated and packed with technology that it’s no wonder they cost as much as they do.
Just look at the iPhone. What is there that it CAN’T do?
Furthermore, where would we be without all this technology. How did I ever manage all those years ago simply with a device that could call other people. The downside is that along with the fantastic abilities of today’s mobile phones comes and increasing desire to own one, and not just from those willing to obtain one legitimately. They are the number one target of thieves and muggers. It is said that a mobile phone is robbed from someone every 3 minutes in the UK.
It’s becoming more and more important to obtain a good insurance for your mobile phone. Not only will the insurance cover you for the aforementioned possibility of having your phones stolen, but you will also be insured against accidental damage to your phone along with a host of other expensive undesirables.
It goes without saying that as well as obtaining a good insurance for your phone, you should take whatever precautions you can to ensure that your phone doesn’t get stolen. Never leave it on show when you’re not using it, never put it down at the table when you’re out with friends socialising because many phones are simply left behind and picked up by opportunist thieves.
Another safeguard is to ensure you always have a backup of all the information on your phone onto your computer. In the unfortunate event that your phone is stolen or damaged beyond repair, nearly always, the biggest headache is the fact that you lose all your vital information.
You will almost certainly find that a normal household insurance policy will not cover theft or damage of your mobile phone. With the more expensive mobile phones, the need to be covered with a good iphone insurance is a no brainer.
Insurance is not expensive, and as well as covering the cost of a multitude of possible problems and occurrences, it gives you tremendous peace of mind knowing that its insured.
