RSS Apps For The Motorola Atrix

The Motorola Atrix 4G is an exciting and powerful new smart phone with a magnificent 4.0-inch capacitive touch screen, a 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 processor and 1GB of RAM. To accentuate the fact that this is a power user’s machine, Motorola offers an optional laptop dock that truly sets the Atrix apart from every other smart phone on the market. The device also boasts a huge selection of Motorola Atrix accessories, and included in the box is a long-life Motorola Atrix battery and a premium Motorola Atrix charger. This smart phone does a great job of organizing the information that can be retrieved from the internet.

In order to maximize the news-reading capabilities of the Motorola Atrix, you’re going to need an RSS Android app or two. This Android powered devices has access to many different applications through the App market. But the downside to all of that choice is that not all RSS readers are created equal, and some are better suited than others are to get the most out of your Atrix. A good RSS application will be aggressive and use up all the power that the Atrix has to offer.

NewsRob is one of the most powerful RSS/Atom readers on the market, and it’s quite convenient since it automatically synchronizes with Google Reader. It’s available in an ad-supported version, but if you like it, it’s worth upgrading because the pay-for version boasts a number of cool power user features. The reason NewsRob works so well with the Atrix is that it isn’t shy about handling a large number of feeds. This program may not work the exact same way with other devices, the Tegra 2 processor in this phone works like a charm.

Greed is like NewsRob in that it enhances the Google Reader experience. In many ways, Greed is actually a more powerful alternative to NewsRob. It boasts a better notification system, and it has more sophisticated customization options than NewsRob does. It also has all of the core features that make NewsRob so great.  Unfortunately, Greed is not nearly as user-friendly, and it has a much steeper learning curve than NewsRob does. A learning curve isn’t necessarily a bad thing. If you do plan to learn the app then Greed will be the best application for the Atrix.

If you are interested in speed over quantity then GReader is the best RSS application that will fit your liking. When it comes to power users and RSS apps, there are two camps: speed vs. organization. A balance between the two is generally best, but if your goal is to download as much as possible as quickly as possible, then GReader should be your weapon of choice. Of course, GReader does have its share of organizational tools too, but they’re not nearly as powerful and accessible as the tools offered by Greed and NewsRob.

It is an Android phone designed by the search engine giant Google, however, it is actually manufactured by renowned cell company HTC. Those who have already got themselves a Nexus One agree that the phone is the best Android phone made to date. At first glance, the Google Nexus One resembles the iPhone. Like the iPhone, it does not have a physical keyboard, with the result being an extremely slim and attractive design. In fact, with dimensions of 119 by 59.8 by 11.5 millimeters, it is actually thinner than the iPhone. The Nexus One is also very light, weighing in at just 130 grams. The capacitive touch screen displays graphics with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. On the bottom of the 3.7 inch AMOLED touch screen are found four buttons: back, menu, home, and search. You can find a trackball pointing device as well as voice controls on the left side. It sounds as though all of these features could easily become confusing, but the incredibly user-friendly control system found on the Nexus One will enable you to fully enjoy the phone in only a few hours. The phone uses the Android 2.1 operating system and runs off a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It contains all the standard features for connectivity – a 3G HSDPA and HSUPA and WiFi access via WLAN connections. As for data transfer between the phone and your other gadgets, it has microUSB and Bluetooth. Data transmission has never been easier. A wide variety of software features and applications place the Nexus One amongst the most delightful phones to use. Google Voice is one such application installed to the phone. The Voice Keyboard is another great piece of software that comes pre-installed on the Google Nexus One. The text fields throughout the various apps and features of the phone are all voice enabled. With the Voice Keyboard you can talk into the phone and have your words converted into text. You speak and it types for out the words for you, what could be easier?
