iPhone Insurance When you consider the huge leaps and bounds mobile phone technology has made in the past few years, its easy to understand

just how desirable some of the latest models have become.

The downside to this, is that they have also become desirable to thieves and muggers. Mobile phone theft is the number one

crime in the UK right now.

Because the phones have now become so sophisticated and expensive, its little wonder that mobile phone insurance is

rapidly becoming an essential purchase for the mobile phone user. Having paid out a small fortune for the latest

spectacular phone, most people could not afford to pay for a replacement if it were lost or damaged.

OK, you may have received the latest iPhone cheap with a new contract. But you will still be expected to pay for a

replacement or the rest of the contract line rental rental cost.

Not only will you be insured against the theft of your phone, but you will also be covered for any damage. Cover can also

include damage from water, fraudulent call cover (imagine having your phone stolen and the thief uses it to call premium

rate lines overseas) and if being repaired, a replacement phone whilst you are waiting.

Don’t rely upon your house contents policy to cover you. Apart from the amount of time it will take to sort out, there will almost certainly be a large excess to pay which could quite possibly be more than the cost of buying a new phone.

20 Year Old iPhone

iPhone Insurance Do you remember the good old days of mobile phones? I certainly do. I was one of the first to own a mobile phone (if indeed “mobile” is the correct word for them). My first phone consisted of what was virtually an old telephone handset strapped on top of a couple of house bricks.

My first phone was absolutely cram packed with the latest technology. You could make calls with it and…….. well, that was it really. Nowadays, mobile phones are so sophisticated and packed with technology that it’s no wonder they cost as much as they do.

Just look at the iPhone. What is there that it CAN’T do?

Furthermore, where would we be without all this technology. How did I ever manage all those years ago simply with a device that could call other people. The downside is that along with the fantastic abilities of today’s mobile phones comes and increasing desire to own one, and not just from those willing to obtain one legitimately. They are the number one target of thieves and muggers. It is said that a mobile phone is robbed from someone every 3 minutes in the UK.

It’s becoming more and more important to obtain a good insurance for your mobile phone. Not only will the insurance cover you for the aforementioned possibility of having your phones stolen, but you will also be insured against accidental damage to your phone along with a host of other expensive undesirables.

It goes without saying that as well as obtaining a good insurance for your phone, you should take whatever precautions you can to ensure that your phone doesn’t get stolen. Never leave it on show when you’re not using it, never put it down at the table when you’re out with friends socialising because many phones are simply left behind and picked up by opportunist thieves.

Another safeguard is to ensure you always have a backup of all the information on your phone onto your computer. In the unfortunate event that your phone is stolen or damaged beyond repair, nearly always, the biggest headache is the fact that you lose all your vital information.

You will almost certainly find that a normal household insurance policy will not cover theft or damage of your mobile phone. With the more expensive mobile phones, the need to be covered with a good iphone insurance is a no brainer.

Insurance is not expensive, and as well as covering the cost of a multitude of possible problems and occurrences, it gives you tremendous peace of mind knowing that its insured.

Robberies And Breakages

iPhone Insurance I reckon it’s a pretty surefire bet that you have a nice new mobile phone, because let’s be honest, we nearly all own a mobile. If you are one of the more lucky persons who has bought a fantastic brand new pricey phone then you really ought to think about mobile phone insurance. It’s not pricey, and if you compare the cost of phone, it’s very worthwhile. Regardless if your phone is subject to a phone contract and the contractor swops it, they will still bill you the full cost for the mobile.

Any break-ins to your house will certainly mean all hand-held items including your mobile phone will be speedily put into a bag as the felons search for anything lucrative. You will as likely as not find your home contents insurance will not cover, or at least will not satisfactorily cover the expense of losing your phone. Don’t disregard there is too the additional annoyance of losing all the information such as your address book when your phone is lost, stolen or croaks. Now evidently, mobile phone insurance is powerless to stop that from happening, but there are facilities to back-up the data and restore onto a different phone handset should the worst thing arise.

There is on top of everything ever the chance of an accident, and damaging your phone.

Damage to your mobile can happen in innumerable ways. The most distinct is dropping your phone on to the floor or hard surface. One bizarre statistic which comes to mind despite the fact I don’t recall the right number involves the quantity of mobile phones dropped into the lavatory every year in the UK. Now, I’m not absolutely sure if you’ve ever managed to drop your phone down the lavatory taking into account neither have I. The one thing I do expect is that you will be surprisingly charmed indeed if your phone operates again after being submerged underwater.

A humorous recollection of mine involved a builder associate who was eternally complaining of damaging his phones, since they would typically fall out of his pocket whilst he was climbing a ladder. A digger once drove over his jacket with the phone in the pocket, and the bricklayers even cemented it into a wall (that one was intended). Then, along came the comprehensively rubber enclosed Nokia which was regarded “unbreakable”. We were in a pub when he showed it to me, explaining how he could throw it from the top of the ladder and it would still operate entirely. To demonstrate, he dropped it from a couple of feet onto the ground. You guessed it. It never worked again.

Mobile Phone Insurance gives you fabulous peace of mind I don’t purport you can be blasé about your phone as indeed any of your personal effects simply seeing that they are insured, but if you are one of those persons I spoke of earlier with an expensive phone you will save yourself an awful lot of funds if anything bad indeed does arise.
