Nowadays, there are way more people that are ditching their landline phones in favor of their T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T or Sprint Cell Phones.  Some do it because they most often use their cell phone to communicate.  Others do it because it saves them money, by taking advantage of great plans from companies like T-Mobile and Sprint Cell Phones.  It could be the in thing, but it is something that should not be taken lightly.  Has a cell telephone truly the best way of communication?  Is it an excellent idea to restrict yourself with that and lose the landline phone? 

For some, it may be an excellent idea.  For others, it could be a different story.  Here are some ways you can determine whether your cell phone can replace your landline phone, or if you still need both :

One.  Landline phones will work wherever you employ them.  Even if you’ve got a metal roof on your house, you will continue to be ready to dial out.  Very likely, you won’t get a signal using a cell phone.  Metal and cell telephones do not work well together and nearly everytime you attempt to use it, you will get a signal interference.  You would have to depart from the house in order to get a signal. 

2.  Receiving less telemarketing calls on your cell phone is a blessing.  Thanks to the FCC ( Fed Communications Commission ), telemarketers are not allowed to leave automated messages on cell telephones without permission from the owner of the telephone.  If you make a decision to ditch your landline for a cell telephone, you will not endure many cold calls to your T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T or Sprint Cell Phones.

3.  There are some areas in which your cell phonephone won’t work because there’s only so much coverage.  Even in some of the major areas there are dead spots where the telephone won’t get a signal.  The signals can always get blocked and you can’t always rely on getting a signal in a major urban area. 

four.  If there’s thunder and lightning in your neighborhood, landline telephones are not the best communication devices to use.  It is extremely dangerous and people have been rubbed out because the landline phones are wired.  The hurricanes can hit the wire and you might be affected.  Using a cell phonephone in a typhoon is better because there is not any direct connection between the lighting and the phonephone. 

Depending on your telephone needs , you have to decide whether or not you must just have a cell phone, a landline, or both.  You also have to take under consideration if you have a family that includes youngsters.  In that case, you may wish to have both options.  It’s simpler to claim that you wish to save cash by losing one.  However, there could be a point in time when you want both.  You’ve got to weigh it out and see what the best solution is.
