The development extent of camera phones has reached the level where pictures can be shared as instant media services with anyone you want. Some manufacturing companies focused on this instant pictures sharing while others worked in the direction of promoting viable peer-to-peer video devices. The impact of camera phones on the group subconscious and personal social interaction level cannot be denied. On the contrary, the possibility to capture events as they happen is considered a great gift. Then, the mobile features also enable their immediate transmission, which makes the devices even more rewarding to use.
One of the controversies triggered by camera phones is illegal photo shooting. While pretending to simply check the phone menu, one can easily take pictures against a person’s wishes. Lots of scandals broke out because of celebrity photos taken with camera phones that were afterwards published in tabloids. Voyeurism, the infringement of the copyright regulations, or privacy invasion are all serious allegations, punishable by law.
